After automatic detection, the application of numerical modeling techniques allows estimating the movement of the leak, enabling its timely and appropriate containment. Furthermore, it is possible to monitor large oceanic areas through the use of artificial intelligence on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite images. The spots identified in the images also feed numerical models that allow inferring where the spot originated and where it will move to.
